Introduction |
The National Institute for Climate Change Research (NICCR) is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) Office of Biological and Environmental Research (BER). The goal of NICCR is to mobilize university researchers, from all regions of the country, in the support of the climatic change research objectives of BER.
The Midwestern Region will support work in the following states: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.

The NICCR is soliciting a fifth call for proposals

Only proposals addressing one of the four terrestrial focus areas will be considered for support in response to this notice. For more detailed information see the RFP-05 Notice.
Pre- Proposals are due 5:00 PM Pacific Time, May 15, 2009
Full proposals will only be accepted until the 15th from applicants who: (1) submitted a compliant preproposal on time and (2) were informed by NICCR that their preproposal was selected to be developed into a full proposal.
Full Proposals are due 5:00 PM Pacific Time, August 14, 2009.
Research project start dates of about April 1, 2010, are expected.
